Colorful Colorado

So it has been an extremely long time since I have updated our post. Things have been so crazy and a whirl wind! The summer is over and fall is upon. Halloween will be here soon and then Thanksgiving. We are still trying to catch up from everything that has taken place this summer. Some fun things that we have been up to is four wheeling, short over night trips, and not so fun things are working, working, and school, and school. YUK! Carter is doing very well. He is getting into the terrible three's. Even though he is still a few months away from that, he is in training!
However, I wanted to share these pics with everyone that we took a couple of weeks ago. We took these on Blow Out Pass. It was absolutely gorgeous. Hope you enjoy!

8 Seconds

Ok, so I'm not the world's greatest blog writer. It has been over a month since I've updated this thing! We had an exciting weekend last week. We were able to go to the PBR (Professional Bull Riding) competition in Pueblo! It was so much fun! As many of you know, Carter is obsessed with cows. We went two nights, we went Friday just Mark and I and then we took Carter back on Sunday with us. He went absolutely nuts over it. He was so excited to see all the "cows"! He thought he had died and went to heaven! He was clapping his hands, waving his arms, and covering his mouth with his hands while pure joy and excitement danced in his eyes! Let's just say even though we had a good time ourselves, it was tons of fun watching Carter! We were fortunate to meet one of the riders. It was the craziest thing, we left the arena and drove back to Walsenburg to eat at Taco Bell and just as we were getting done one of the top 10 riders came it! His namee is McKennon Wimberly. So we got to meet him. Another person we got to meet was one of the guys that owns several of the bulls that are used in the PBR circuit. His name is Chad Burger. He was a really neat person, Carter and I took our picture with him. Here it is.

Not the greatest picture, but Carter didn't look at the camera until after the picture was taken. Oh well, what can you do! Mark really had a good time too. He even bought a black cowboy hat! I was amazed, he looks really good in it! Don't tell him I told you all!

But we have had a really crazy time this last month. I finished my spring semester at Adams State College. I am going to be taking two summer classes so I will be classified as a senior this coming year! Finally!! I have several photo shoots. Speaking of which I need to get my business blog updated with the newest pictures. They have come out really good and I am extremely happy with them. I'll try to get those done this weekend! Key word being "try"
And on top of everything else, we got our old house sold and the new people are in it! I can't believe we were able to move it so fast. Anyway, we helped my sister get moved and we moved the rest of our junk out of there. What a relief that is!!
I hope everyone is doing well! We miss you all!
Love,
Mark Jenny Carter

Happy Easter Everyone!

Well another Easter has come upon us. This year was Carter's third Easter and his first time coloring easter eggs! We had so much fun! However, all the eggs ended up with cracks in them! He would get an egg to put in the cups to color but rather than place them gently in the cups he would throw them into the cups! And then SPLASH there goes the coloring all over the counter. Then it came time to put the stickers on the eggs........ that was another adventure in and of itself! If the eggs weren't cracked from the coloring process, they got cracked during the decorating process. And of course there were several eggs with trucks and cars on them!

Easter morning came and the first thing Carter did when he saw his basket was, "COW" and wanted his farm animals out immediately!

Well I hope all is well with everyone and that Easter was a happy time for all!

More to come later!

Happy Birthday Carter!

As you probably know, it was Carter's Birthday on February 14. Our little Valentine turned two! Can you believe that, we can't. Carter aboslutely loves cows, so we had a cow themed party for him. It was a lot of fun to watch him open his presents and eat his cake. We had my parents, Mark's parents, and my Sister Kelli and her family over to help us celebrate. We had so a really good time watching the kids play. And of course Carter was his usual funny self. Hope you all enjoy the pictures!

We Finally Got Snow!

Well the San Luis Valley finally got some snow. This snow storm really dropped the snow! We haven't seen this kind of snow in a really long time and it was much needed. It is the perfect snow for building snowmen and having snow ball wars!! Of course, Carter had to go out and play in it this morning with Daddy!
But he got cold and had to come warm up by the fire with Mommy!!

Mark is out trying to build Carter a hill of snow with all the snow from our drive way so he can sled down it. If it all works out, we will send pictures of playing in the snow. Hopefully the wind will quit blowing so we can go out and play in it! More to come!

Up to date news!

Hi There!
This last week has been a crazy one for us. I just wanted to say that Carter has learned a new trick! He can do a somersault!! It is so cute! If you can get him to put his tractor down long enough he will do a couple in a row!

Other than that everything is about the same. Nothing too exciting so I guess I will leave it at this for now! Hope all is well with everyone!

Carter's First Snowman!

This is a picture of Carter's first snowman. We got up early one morning after Halloween and it was snowing. So I bundled Carter and I up and we headed outside and 6:00 in the morning to play in the snow. By 7:30 This is what we ended up with. I know it is a little late to post it, but I wanted to share it with all of you! I had so much fun watching him play in the snow and it is a memory I will always treasure!

I'm Terrible with this!

So I started this blog back in Septemeber I believe, and now it is mid January. I really should do better with this! Things have been really crazy here. Getting my photography business up and going took a major portion of my time. Then there is always the school thing lingering about!

Just to get everyone up to date, we had a wonderful Christmas. Carter was completely spoiled of course! Did you expect anything less? Unfortunately, Carter had the flu over Christmas. So Christmas Eve was spent cleaning up ickey stuff. Poor Carter was sick all day on Christmas as well. He finally started feeling better the day after Christmas. But nevertheless he was still extremely excited over all the trucks he got! His favorite thing in the world!

We were hoping that 2010 would start off and be better than 2009, but it didn't. 2009 was filled with tragedy and sickness and 2010 started off the same way with Grandma Helen's passing. However, I seem to be doing much better health wise. I'm hoping that we are nearing an end to this whole mess!

It has been dreadfully cold here the last few weeks and then the last two days have really warmed up. There is snow on the way! I love the snow and I'm hoping there is snow on the ground when my tulips come up. I absolutly love tulips against the white backdrop! I am looking forward to the long warm summer days of watching Carter play in the yard. We had a lot of fun last summer!

Well that's all for now. I'm going to try and do better at this! (We'll see!)
